Welcome to The Mizell Senior Center
Giving Tree Program Begins on December 2
Please Help Brighten the Holidays for Seniors
Every year, Mizell Senior Center has a Giving Tree Program for our Meals On Wheels Clients who will be alone during the Holidays. Beginning on Monday, December 2, our Giving Tree will be set-up in our Lobby. The tree is adorned with ornaments with the names of seniors with a list of some of the things that will help brighten their holidays. Many are simple requests such as warm socks, stationary, slippers, toothpaste, or a bathrobe. You can select an ornament and register with our front desk. The gifts are returned to us gift wrapped and are delivered on Christmas Day along with a Holiday Dinner by generous volunteers. We are also seeking donations of basic necessities such as toothpaste, lotion, soap, mouthwash, powder, and other items to deliver to all of our Meals On Wheels clients during the Holidays. Each of our 500 Meals On Wheels recipients will receive this holiday gift bag. Your help is needed to make this heartwarming program happen. For information on how you can help, call 760-323-5689 x118.
