Movie Madness at Mizell Throughout the summer, enjoy a free movie every Thursday afternoon, beginning at 1:00pm. There will a wide variety of movies and special treats to help you beat the heat! Cover to Cover The Mizell Senior Center’s book club, Cover to Cover will meet on Thursday, September 10 at 10:30 to discuss “Second Objective” by Mark Frost. Afternoon Fit After 50 Improve your fitness, stay motivated, and –most of all– have fun! Join the afternoon class for Fit After Fifty! Tuesdays and Thursdays at 4:00 in the Noia Auditorium, Tina Louise leads the group toward good health. The class focuses on stretching, muscle strength, balance, and aerobic conditioning. New Current Events Group to Form Share your views on current issues and news with moderator Denis Johnson. Discussions will focus on interesting current events and how history may relate to today's problems. A potpourri of topics will be discussed and debated including current politics (local, state and federal) and news. Begins October. Bonjour! Now you can learn conversational French for an upcoming trip or just have some fun and begin to learn another language! These fun and educational classes will be led by instructor Richard Cabitto and will be held every Wednesday morning from 9:30AM – 11:00 AM for an eight week period beginning October 1. Mr. Cabitto has a master’s degree in French and has taught French and Spanish on both high school and college levels for over thirty-five years. He has traveled extensively and his experience can be shared with others to make communicating easier when traveling. The cost for Beginning French Lessons is $75 for members and $100 for non-members. Flu Shots Look to the Mizell Senior Center this year for your flu shot needs.
