Mothers Day Lunch

Celebrate Mothers Day with a special lunch at the Mizell Senior Center.

Join us for a great time on Friday, May 7th with a special Baked Potato Bar (with your choice of yummy toppings), a glamorous chocolate fountain, and a special drawing for all the ladies in attendance.

The Mothers Day lunch is sponsored by Mission Hills Senior living, Palm Springs Chamber of Commerce and David Andrew Salon.

The drawing will reward 5 ladies in the audience. 4 runners up will receive haircuts and styling and the grad prize winner will receive Queen for a Day treatment with hair style, mani-pedi, and other prizes, all courtesy of David Andrew Salon.

Thursday, April 29 Hetal Bhakta, MD will discuss Understanding the Health Heart: Beyond the Plumbing.

Your heart is a complex organ made of many different components, all of which need to work together to optimize your heart’s health. Dr. Bhakta will help you understand how a healthy heart works.

The seminar begins at 1:00 pm and are sponsored by Desert Regional Medical Center.

Chica and the Man Concert

Chica (Nicky Vallee) and the Man will perform a special concert on Saturday, may 22nd to benefit the Mizell Senior Center’s Meals on Wheels program.

The showtime if 7:00 at the beautiful and historic inn, Casa Cody, 175 S Cahuilla with a beautiful view of the mountains.

We are very pleased to announce that Fresh and Easy, the grocery store in Palm Springs,

Chica and the Man will perform songs from Jack Johnson to Fleetwood Mac. Tickets are $10 and more information is available by calling Mizell Senior Center at 323.5689.

Wii Bowling is back again this summer. This VERY popular program will begin June 29 and is sponsored by Scan Health Plan and Desert Oasis Healthcare.

Palm Springs Power Golf Tourney

The Palm Springs Power Golf Foundation will host a fun 18 hole golf tournament at the historic O’Donnell Golf Club on May 15th.

A foursome is $400 and individual slots are $125 for the scramble format golf tournament.

All proceeds benefit the Palm Springs Power Foundation which provides housing, food, and transportation for the Palm Springs Power baseball players during the summer season.
