Jewelry Making

Students will learn the basics of costume jewelry making techniques. Necklaces, bracelets & earrings will be made. The design, repair & enhancement of costume jewelry and a basic understanding of the tools and materials needed to make jewelry will be taught.  Topics being covered: Tools, beads, stringing material, findings & bead boards. Tools will need to be purchased before the first class. A detailed list of the needed tools and supplies will be available at the Mizell ticket window when registering. Knitting Circle

Are you a knitter? Have you always wanted to learn? Would you like to create a project for a loved one, yourself, or a child in need? Join a delightful bunch of knitters every Wednesday for tips, teaching and lively conversation. Those who crochet and do needle point are also welcome. BINGO! The Hottest Bingo Game In Town – Win Prizes and Cash!!

Monday at Mizell Senior Center is the place to be if you love playing Bingo. Mizell Bingo features 10 regular Bingo games along with special games that include Triple Bingo, Double Action, Odd Coverall, and Even Coverall. You can win great prizes and even cash in our games!  So, grab your favorite dauber and put on your bingo shoes and get on over to Mizell for our Monday Bingo. Cash prizes and gift certificates. Party Bridge

Come play bridge with your friends and meet new ones. This is a friendly game of party bridge. Participants are asked to put 50 cents in the kitty for prize money each week. Bridge – Made Fun & Easy!

Intermediate Level – continue your bridge adventure with experienced instructor and Life Master Player, David Goetz. Improve your game and head towards your own fulfillment in the game of bridge. The textbook (Bridge Basics 1 – An Introduction by Audrey Grant) is being provided at an additional cost of $13 or you can purchase it on Amazon or at your local book store. Pinochle

Canasta – NEW

Canasta is a card game of the rummy family of games believed to be a variant of 500 Rum. Although many variations exist for two, three, five, or six players, it is most commonly played by four in two partnerships with two standard decks of cards. Mah Jongg

Are you ready for some Mah Jongg? Researchers are claiming that playing Mah Jongg is good for our mental health, as it challenges our cognitive skills and powers of reasoning. Originally a Chinese game of calculation and strategy, Mah Jongg found its way to America less than 100 years ago. Look for the scheduled program on Tuesdays and Fridays each week by clicking here.

Mexican Train Dominos

Mexican Train is a Domino game, played mainly in the USA. The object is to accumulate as few points as possible over 13 games. The player with the lowest score is the winner. Wii Bowling – with Team Mizell -Coachella Valley Senior Champions!

Knife and Scissor Sharpening

This is a professional knife and scissor sharpening opportunity for our members, on the 4th Tuesday of the month. There is a limit of six items per visit; donations accepted. Look for the scheduled program on the 4th Tuesday each month by clicking here.
