Mizell Nutrition Program

“To Go” Lunch
Café 480 is now preparing meals “to go” available on a first-come, first-serve basis. The boxed lunch is delivered to your vehicle Monday thru Friday from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. To participate, enter the parking lot from Ramon Road and follow the orange cones or direction of staff. Find this month’s current menu here. We ask for a $5 contribution per meal or $3 for those who join the Congregate Meal program. Our Nutrition staff will conduct a quick in-take for those seeking to join the Congregate Meal program.

At FlexTogether.com  you can find Dr. Diane Ross, Mizell’s AM Fit After Fifty instructor ready to instruct and encourage you to keep up with her blend of gentle, yet tough, cardio moves. Want to try chair yoga? You can do that at FlexTogether, too. Actually, you and a friend can both see the instructor’s video and one another.  Accessing the video call is easy! Exercise designed for the needs of seniors.  21st C. seniors, that is.

 

Legal Assistance
Inland Counties Legal Services (ICLS)

Provides FREE legal services to low-income and elderly residents, as well as people with disabilities. The areas of practice are: Bankruptcy and Tax, Consumer, Education, Family, Health, Housing, Immigration, Impact/Systemic, and Public Benefits.

Residents interested in applying can call the intake line at 800-245-4257 or the senior line at 888-977-4257 or apply online at inlandlegal.org/apply. Their website also offers information regarding new COVID-19 laws as well as downloadable forms, if notifying a landlord of their inability to pay rent. If qualified, clients receive counsel and advice, document preparation, or direct legal representation at no cost. If clients do not have adequate resources to receive our services (no phone or computer) we will try to accommodate their needs to the furthest extent possible, with regard to their safety as well as our employees'.
