A Heartfelt Thanks for a Joyous Holiday Lunch

Yesterday, (12/25/2024) we came together for a celebratory holiday lunch that reminded us of the spirit of community and generosity that makes Mizell so special. This gathering would not have been possible without the incredible support of our donors. Your contributions ensure that events like this—where we connect, share, and celebrate—can continue to brighten the lives of the older adults we serve.

Much gratitude to our extraordinary team of volunteers. These remarkable individuals bring energy, kindness, and dedication to everything they do, creating opportunities for older adults not only to enjoy nutritious meals but to form meaningful friendships. Mizell isn’t just a center; it’s a vibrant network of connection, a place of shared care and nurturing that extends far beyond the holidays.

We also want to shine a spotlight on volunteers Dean and Scott.  Every successful project requires a driving force and these two individuals ensured everything ran seamlessly from start to finish.

Big applause to Chef Fernando and his talented team—Leslie, Lynn, Chris, David and Ulysses —who prepared a scrumptious meal that delighted everyone in attendance.

To everyone who contributed to making yesterday’s event a success—whether through time, talent, or treasure—we are humbly and profoundly grateful. Together, you’ve helped create a community that truly embodies care and compassion, not just during the holidays but throughout the year.

Thank you for being part of the Mizell Center’s story.
