Mizell Center is a nondenominational, community-based organization that has served the Coachella Valley senior community for over 50 years. Our programs are tailored for individuals across a broad socioeconomic spectrum, and we welcome over 60,000 visitors to our historic Palm Springs building annually. Our members and visitors bring life to over 60 weekly activities that support independence, lifelong learning, and a healthy, engaged lifestyle.
Mizell is the only Meals on Wheels provider in the Coachella Valley. We prepare, serve, and deliver approximately 600+ nutritious meals each weekday to homebound seniors and social dining sites at five Coachella Valley senior centers in Cathedral City, Coachella, Desert Hot Springs, Indio, and Palm Springs. Our delivery routes span the Coachella Valley, from Whitewater to the Salton Sea.

Check out the amazing work of Rick Tamlyn, Chuck Lioi and the entrepreneurs of PRODUCE U who spent three days convening at Mizell, wrapping up with a surprise fundraising challenge that raised nearly $10,000 for Mizell’s programs and services. To close the week out, they served a BBQ lunch to the great pleasure of our Meals on Wheels diners.
