Your comfort and safety is of the utmost importance to us while you’re here. All staff and volunteers are vaccinated, as is now required, and capacity limits and social distancing will be in place.
Please be aware of the following very important information:
- Visits to the Mizell Center must be connected to your participation in a class or other activity.
- You will be asked to present your membership card upon entry.
- You will be asked to complete and sign a COVID-19 Self-Screening Form.
- Masks must be worn properly at all times while you’re at the Mizell Center.
We know that circumstances can change very quickly with respect to COVID-19 restrictions. Please be assured that we'll re-visit these guidelines, as needed, to ensure a safe environment for all. We look forward to seeing you in June and cannot wait for the Mizell Center to be full of life again!
Classes are being added each day. If you don't see the class you'd like to register for, please check back here soon. Thank you for your patience.
The Mizell Center is a non-denominational, non-profit organization that has been serving the senior community in the Palm Springs area for 46 years. Our programs and services are curated for seniors on a broad socio-economic spectrum, enabling us to welcome more than 60,000 visitors annually. Members and guests bring vibrancy to more than 50 weekly activities designed to support independence, promote lifelong learning and sustain a healthy and engaged lifestyle.
In the community, the Mizell Center’s Nutrition Program is the largest in the Coachella Valley, Through our contract with the Riverside County Office on Aging, we were preparing and delivering nutritious meals every weekday to homebound seniors, as well as up to 8 congregate meal sites, such as other senior centers and senior living communities throughout the Valley. Meals are delivered by our staff drivers on routes that span the Valley, from Whitewater to the Salton Sea.
