Stocks and Securities
Gifts of securities, such as individual stocks, bonds, or mutual fund shares, can benefit both you and Mizell Center. A gift of securities has tax benefits that increase the value of your gift, which may allow you to make a larger gift than if you sold the securities and then donated the proceeds.
When you donate long-term appreciated securities to Mizell, you can claim the full value of the gift as a charitable deduction.

Planned Giving
You can make a difference and create your legacy in many ways. One is to provide a bequest to Mizell Center in your will. You can name Mizell Center as the direct beneficiary of assets, a percentage of your estate, or what remains of your estate after other obligations have been met. Charitable bequests also reduce the size of your estate and thereby reduce estate taxation.
Planned giving provides a legacy of lasting remembrance, and can have a significant impact on the financial health of Mizell.
Qualified Charitable Distribution
If you are 70 and one half or older, a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) can satisfy the Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) from your IRA, while reducing your taxable income.

Honor Gifts (In memory of)
An In honor of or a memorial gift is a particularly meaningful way to recognize, honor or remember family, friends, or colleagues. Tribute gifts can also be given in someone’s honor for special occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries and holidays. Upon receipt of your gift, a letter acknowledging your gesture will be sent to the recipient your designate.
Vehicle Donation
Donating a car, truck, van, motorcycle, RV, or boat with a trailer is easy, the pick-up is free, and your gift is tax-deductible.

Tree of Life
The Tree of Life provides the opportunity to honor or memorialize a friend, family member, loved one or special occasion while supporting the work of Mizell Center.
The Tree of Life installation is the first thing visitors see when they enter Mizell. Brilliant in color and prominent in its placement, the Tree of Life is a timeless symbol of grace, gratitude and love.
