Why Donating to Aunt Betty’s Thrift Shop Makes a Big Difference

Turn Clutter into Community Support

That extra lamp, those jeans you haven’t worn in years, or the dishes gathering dust in your cabinets — they can all help support senior services in our community. When you donate to Aunt Betty’s Thrift Shop, you’re not just cleaning out your closet — you’re changing lives.

How Aunt Betty’s Supports Mizell Center

Aunt Betty’s Thrift Shop is a vital part of the Mizell Center. Every donated item and every sale supports senior programs including:

  • Meals on Wheels for homebound older adults
  • Health and fitness classes
  • Social enrichment activities

The shop is also a great resource for families looking for affordable items, and every item sold helps fund vital services for local seniors.

What You Can Donate

We accept:

  • Clothing & jewelry
  • Small furniture pieces
  • Kitchenware and small appliances
  • Home health aids

All donations should be in good condition, gently used. Donations are accepted during shop hours, and we’ll be happy to provide a receipt for your tax records.

Volunteers Keep the Shop Thriving

Volunteers help sort, stock, and organize — and they’re the heart of the shop’s success. Want to help? We always welcome extra hands and smiling faces.

Give Back, Clear Out, Make a Difference

You don’t need to write a check to support Mizell Center. Clean out your home and drop off your donations at Aunt Betty’s today.
