After many meaningful seasons as an independent nonprofit, A Cabbello has ceased operations as a 501(c)(3) organization and entered an exciting new chapter as a program of Mizell Center. Recognizing the ensemble’s artistic excellence and its impact in the community, Mizell extended an invitation to bring A Cabbello into its programming, ensuring these voices continue to be heard, supported, and shared.
This residency allows A Cabbello to focus fully on artistic creativity and performance while benefiting from Mizell’s nonprofit expertise, fiscal stewardship, and administrative support. With this strong foundation, A Cabbello will continue presenting exceptional musical performances that enrich the entire Coachella Valley.
Rooted in a shared commitment to connection and community, A Cabbello’s work through its Project Connect initiative will continue to be a vital part of this next chapter. Project Connect brings live music and meaningful human connection to older adults who may experience isolation or have limited access to the arts. These performances are both energizing for the ensemble and deeply moving for audiences, reminding us that music, offered with kindness, has the power to uplift and unite.
