Genealogy Lectures (Free)
On the first Saturday of every month, the Palm Springs Genealogical Society will present a guest speaker and topic from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Discover best practices, hear from experts, and enjoy opportunities to “show and tell” your own research. Speakers and topics will be announced soon.
Upcoming first Saturday sessions are September 6, October 4, November 1 and December 6, all beginning at 10:00 a.m.
Mah Jong Open Play (Chinese)
Starting Wednesday, September 3, 2025, join us every Wednesday, 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. for the Library’s Mah Jong Open Play at Mizell. Practice your skills, learn from fellow players, and have fun. A few Chinese Mah Jong sets will be available, or bring your own. Free.
Save the Date: Our Voices Our Stories — Celebrating Black Authors
Join us for the 2nd Annual Our Voices Our Stories in celebration of Black History Month on Sunday, February 8, 2026, 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. Presented by the Palm Springs Public Library, Mizell Center, and community partners. Event details and featured authors will be announced soon.

Do I need to register?
Unless noted otherwise, registration is not required. Arrive a few minutes early to grab a great seat.
Where is the Library’s temporary location and available collection?
The Library has relocated during their renovation to Rimrock Shopping Center, 4721 East Palm Canyon Drive, Suite A in South Palm Springs. You can reach them at 760-322-READ.
