SPECIAL HIGHLIGHT

HOLLYWOOD ICON: ROBERT REDFORD

Saturdays at 10:00 a.m. beginning January 24

From his breakthrough in The Way We Were, Robert Redford became one of Hollywood’s most compelling stars and a lasting force in American film. This six-film series explores his most influential work, from January 24 through April 25.

Each session concludes with an engaging, facilitator-led conversation exploring the film, Redford’s performance, and his broader artistic impact. Discussions will be guided by film scholars Richard Edwards and Vanessa Ament. Dr. Edwards is Executive Director of Teaching and Learning at UC Riverside, and Dr. Ament is a theater and film professional with major Hollywood credits. Together, they bring expertise in film history, sound studies, and narrative analysis, adding depth to every screening.

The series begins January 24 with The Way We Were, followed by The Sting on February 14, All the President’s Men on February 28, The Natural on March 14, Sneakers on April 11, and concludes April 25 with All Is Lost.
